Our Houses
We have a house in Harriet Street and one in St.Stephen's Street. Both
houses accommodate ten residents, each with self contained, en-suite,
independent apartments and are managed by a live-in housekeeper with her
deputies. Each resident has an en-suite bed sitting room with
facilities for making breakfasts and snacks. St.Stephen House also has a
conservatory and garden area.
Harriet Street has a lift to the upper floor, and St.Stephen has a
stairlift. Ground floor accommodation is available in both houses.
Both houses have communal laundry facilities.
The Abbeyfield lifestyle is care-free, not a Care Home. Residents come
and go as they please, decorate and furnish their homes and enjoy their
independence, all in the knowledge that there is a safety net if they want
companionship or help. There are no worries about maintenance of properties,
cost of food, payment of council tax or heating, water or lighting costs as
these are all included in the rent. In fact your only additional costs might
be your personal telephone! A leisurely breakfast in your own
apartment with delicious home-cooked meals served in the dining rooms at
lunch and dinner are the order of the day.
The weekly rent at Harriet Street is £165 per week and St.Stephen's Street is £155.
